Upon riding 80 miles through Cleveland into Avon Lake, Ohio, I was greeted by my family! I have recently been struggling with the decision to end my journey here in Ohio or to continue onward to Vancouver. As a home girl this trip has been tough, but the connections I have made with the group will help me make it to the Pacific.
Yesterday I spent the day at Lake Erie with my family...resting and loading up on Sowash-time. Today I rejoin the group in Bowling Green to bike on. Halfway through the journey I will be in St. Paul to see Aunt Kit and Aunt Cynthia and I'm looking forward to that. I will take each day at a time and try to enjoy the small things along the way.
More updates and pictures later.
Love that last sentence. Enjoying the journey rather than focusing only on the goals is one of the secrets to living life well.
ReplyDeleteDear Bryn,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you as you travel and make choices.
Glad you want to make it to the Pacific. IN your young life you are amazing with your choices and staying with your goals.
Keep going. This may be one of your greatest accomplishments and I applaud you for sticking to it.
Love, Gamma
I'm sure you've already heard this from others and/or thought about it yourself: The Bike and Build adventure has been a good one and will continue to be because you've learned a lot about yourself including what you need for a full, happy life and you've learned that the small things really do matter. So, when the days are hot and the rides are long, just remember that you've learned so much about the path you want your life to take. Some people never have that kind of self discovery and others do, but take a lot longer to get there. Just think, you have an abundant life ahead of you and you already know what kind of foundation you want to build upon - family and comfortable/familiar surroundings. When your foundation is strong and your heart is full, you can do anything!
ReplyDeleteFor sure Bryn, it's the way there. Waiting for your arrival...Aunt C.
